👉 The Lair of Tarrasque is an incredibly dangerous special level located deep in Gehennom, unique to GnollHack.
Location: Located between 2 and 8 levels above the bottom of Gehennom (typically Gehennom levels 10–18).
This lair houses one of the most fearsome monsters in the game: the legendary Tarrasque.
Characteristics 🦖
- Layout: A massive, unlit cavern that uses the cavernous Gehennom tileset. The area is littered with bones, human skulls, pinches of sulfurous ash, death cap mushrooms, and fresh corpses.
- Inhabitants: Besides the Tarrasque, the cavern is guarded by major demons including a balor, marilith, nalfeshnee, and glabrezu, along with numerous lesser demons like manes, hell hounds, and hell bats.
The Tarrasque 💥
An ancient, nearly indestructible behemoth. It hits with devastating physical attacks, resists most forms of magic, and regenerates health at an alarming rate.
